Most scholars would agree that we are a species with amnesia, as stated by Best-Selling Author Graham Hancock.
For as long as humans have roamed the earth, we've sought to figure out where we came from and what our purpose in life is. But the more we research, the more apparent it becomes that we know very little about our history.
Did humanity originate on a single continent and subsequently expand across the globe? How did man become? Why are there so many holes in human history? And where are we going as a species as a result of this development?
There are still a number of questions left unanswered.
However, owing to numerous archeological finds made across the world, we are learning that our species' history is far more intricate than we ever believed.
The many archeological discoveries that have been made throughout the centuries throughout the world indicate a sophisticated species that accomplished astounding accomplishments.
The Underground City of Derinkuyu
This underground city in Turkey was dug and constructed thousands of years ago.
It's a magnificent display of ancient engineering and talents.
It's said that the ancient people somehow dug hundreds of meters into the Earth's surface, constructing what is now considered to be the planet's largest subterranean city.
No one has been able to explain fully why or how the city was built, and its history and creation are enveloped in mystery.
Some historians have postulated that the city was constructed to safeguard ancient people from climate change.
The Longyou Caves are a collection of artificially carved caves that have been in use for more than 2,000 years.
The caves are one of the greatest man-made structures ever created.
The first one was discovered in 1992, and so far 24 caves have been found, including one that has been converted to a tourist attraction.
It is interesting to note, however, that no historical document has yet been discovered detailing or explaining the enormous construction process that entailed removing more than 1 million cubic meters of rock.
Giant Stone Spheres
This Earth has some massive balls. No, really.
Giant stone spheres have been discovered on several continents. Costa Rica is home to the largest number of stone spheres, although reports of their existence have been documented in Europe and other parts of the planet.
The stone spheres were discovered for the first time in 1930 when construction workers were clearing the jungle to build a banana plantation.
No one quite understands why the spheres were built and what their true purpose is.
The Great Pyramid of Giza and its capacity to generate ENERGY as a mystery. It's not a conspiracy, it's a known fact.
The Giza pyramid is one of the most magnificent constructions in ancient history. It is the only remaining ancient monument, and it has passed the test of time.
The Great Pyramid of Giza was constructed thousands of years ago using well-known construction techniques, yet we still have no idea what it was built for. It's been proposed that the pyramid was constructed as a mausoleum, despite there being no proof to back this up.
According to a study published in the Journal of Applied Physics in 2018, the Great Pyramid at Giza may concentrate electromagnetic energy in its chambers. It then distributes the electromagnetic energy throughout its subterranean lower levels.
A tremendous monolith was cleaved with laser-like precision.
Some objects were created by prior civilizations; other items were just discovered. There's a huge rock in Saudi Arabia that is unlike anything you've ever seen before, and it appears to be split in half with laser-like precision. Its shape is deceptive, for although it has been split in two, it appears to be completely balanced and features intricately carved designs on its surface. It's known as the Al-Naslaa monolith.
Mohenjo-Daro was discovered in 1992, when Indian archeologist R. Banardzhi discovered the ancient ruins on the banks of the Indus River. It was one of the largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley civilization and one of the world's earliest major cities, contemporaneous with ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Minoan
It was more advanced than anything that had previously been developed.
According to the History Channel's series Ancient Aliens, an enormous catastrophe leveled the city, and aliens might have helped with its destruction.
However, if stories of aliens destroying cities didn't sound strange to you, this is something else.
Researchers digging in Africa in 1972 discovered what is now known to be a 2-billion-year-old Nuclear Reactor. It wasn't constructed by aliens or previous 0Einstein civilizations, but rather by nature herself.
Malta’s Cart Ruts
There is a prehistoric settlement in Siġġiewi, Malta, called Misrah Ghar il-Kbir, near the Dingli Cliffs, known for a series of odd "tracks" etched into the rock.
Cart tracks are a complex network of ruts gouged in the rock by experts called "cart ruts."
The origin and goal of the tracks are unknown.
After new settlers arrived from Sicily to begin the Bronze Age in Malta, experts believe that the site was constructed around 2000 BC. Other researchers, on the other hand, have suggested that the tracks might be hundreds of millions of years old and even evidence of ancient advanced civilizations that existed on Earth before recorded history.
There's an undersea monolith off the coast of Japan that some people have dubbed Japan's Atlantis. The submerged structure resembles a huge submerged pyramid and is referred to as the Underwater monument of Yonaguni.
Arataki, a scuba instructor, discovered the structure for the first time.
Some experts claim that the ruins now submerged are evidence of advanced civilizations living on Earth before the last ice age.
We've got a huge "knife" supposedly discovered by divers underwater among other strange tales of aliens, natural nuclear reactors, and pyramids that generate electricity.
The image and its content are simple to describe. It showed up on social media (Facebook, Reddit, Pinterest) and appears to show three divers holding what appears to be a huge knife-like object. Some people think it's a hoax, while others say not and argue that artifacts like this one force us to reconsider our preconceptions about humanity's long-forgotten past.
A strange mask made of "alien" metals was recently found off the coast of Florida.
It was discovered in South America and used a rare mix of metals, among which is Iridium, which dates back at least 10,000 years.
The mask is supposed to have been one of the many South American antiques brought to Europe. However, near Florida, the vessel on which they were being transported sank.
The mask was most likely taken thousands of years ago by Spanish tomb robbers.
