Adhara Pérez was diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of three. She had been subjected to severe taunting by her classmates, but her parents learned that she had a higher I.Q. than Albert Einstein in therapy. Adhara graduated elementary school at the age of five, middle school at six, and high school at eight years old. Adhara is already halfway through earning two degrees simultaneously when she is only nine years old. One in computer science from Stanford University, and another in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Adhara Pérez's intellect test obtained a score of 162, slightly superior to Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, whose IQ scores are estimated at 160 (they were never officially tested). Adhara stated that she was "made a laughingstock in school." Students would mock her by calling her "oddball" or "weirdo," and she was the target of bullying.
Pérez became severely depressed after this incident, and she refused to return to school. Her instructors observe that she was frequently sleeping during classes. As a result, her mother investigated whether the conventional educational system was suitable for Adhara. Despite their difficult economic position, the mother insisted on providing Adhara with a bright future. The therapist assisted Adhara in finding a learning environment that was ideal for her abilities. Soon enough, the little girl graduated from high school after just a few years, and she now earns two degrees online: one in systems engineering and the other in industrial engineering with a concentration in mathematics. She is also studying astronomy and gravitational waves while taking classes on both subjects.
As if Pérez wasn't already remarkable enough, she has penned a book about her life experiences. The phrase "Do Not Give Up" is a informal rendering of the title. She was also named one of Forbes Mexico's 100 Most Influential Women in Mexico in 2019, while she was creating a bracelet with molecules to monitor the emotions of children with special needs and help anticipate and prevent seizures and other problems they may be experiencing.
Adhara understands the challenges these kids are facing due to her own history. She had an intense seizure when she was four that almost caused a coma. Instead, she lost movement in her hands for a year and needed to go through physical therapy.
The University of Arizona has also offered Pérez a spot in their institution. Meanwhile, Pérez is studying English for the entrance exam and continues to explore her interest in astrophysics. She aspires to be an astronaut and work for NASA one day.
The “IQ” stands for “intelligence quotient.” These tests assess people's intellectual capabilities and potential in areas such as problem-solving and reasoning. Simply stated, it is a test of intelligence (not to be confused with a test of knowledge). The average score for an IQ exam is 100. A score of 130 or higher indicates superior intellect, indicating Adhara Pérez's superior score of 162 in uniqueness.
IQ scores are often used as a predictor of success in various life endeavors, such as education and employment. While they are not perfect predictors, they do give some indication of a person's intellectual abilities. This is why Adhara Pérez's score is so significant – it indicates that she has the potential to achieve great things in her life.
Keep in mind that an IQ test isn't the "be all, end all" that some people believe it to be. Many experts dispute the usefulness of such tests, with some arguing that cognitive ability may not be measurable. Furthermore, the examinations themselves may not be accurate since scores can be impacted by nutrition, health issues, culture, environment, and education. According to a 2010 study from The Lancet, African nations as a whole had lower average IQs than previously thought.
Whether or not you think IQ tests can determine a person's life or success, they can't. Adhara Pérez, on the other hand, appears to have a lot of potential to make the world a better place. It's safe to say that the sky is the limit for this young prodigy. We're eager to see what she'll do!
