NASA, DARPA, MIT Scientists Met to Discuss “Anti-Gravity” Tech

By: April Carson

In November, a number of NASA, DARPA, MIT, and Air Force researchers gathered on Zoom to talk about something that isn't typically discussed in polite company: how to overcome gravity.

The Alternative Propulsion Energy Conference (APEC) was created to provide scientists a platform to explore ideas that would otherwise be considered taboo and, in some cases, far-fetched.

According to The Debrief's research, there have been 22 meetings in the rivalry since then, with scientists talking about everything from Non-Newtonian Em Propulsion to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings (UAP) encounters.

It's the "Woodstock of gravity-modification research," as Ron Kita, the creator of a company called Chiralex that is developing "gravitational shielding" materials, put it. In other words, it's the "Woodstock of gravity-modification research." As a result,

Overall, the occasion is quite remarkable.

“The Alt Propulsion community is highly inclusive, and we're sandwiched between the aerospace, military, electrical engineering, physics, UFOs, and ‘frontier science' subcultures," conference moderator and organizer Tim Ventura said.

"We have visitors from all of these cultures that come to the conference and give talks, and despite their various disagreements on some issues, we've been able to stay out of conflict," he continued.

Despite the odd subject, 16 of the 71 attendees at the November meeting were current or former NASA scientists and engineers, according to The Debrief, and 14 more were affiliated with reputable institutions including MIT and Harvard.

At the November meeting, UFOs apparently made a major splash. This year has seen a significant pop-culture resurgence in the field of UFO sightings, with military pilots openly discussing encounters and the Pentagon teasing a long-awaited study that was eventually released in June.

“Everyone was aware of UFOs in the past, but they were not very relevant because they were poorly understood,” Ventura explained to The Debrief. “The scientific community is now researching the subject more deeply than ever before.”

Despite their best efforts, gravity remains undefeated. It's probably better that a few researchers find time to have long-shot discussions about how it might be altered.
