On Friday, a father in Washington state was arrested for allegedly murdering his daughter's boyfriend after he discovered that the man sold her into a sex trafficking ring.
On October 22, Spokane police were alerted to an abandoned car in a residential area and a nearby park "with a pungent odor." Detectives immediately confirmed that there were human remains in the vehicle, which belonged to a 19-year-old guy identified by the Spokesman-Review as Andrew Sorensen. On October 29, cops arrested 60-year-old John Eisenman and charged him with first-degree murder.
According to police, Eisenman discovered in October 2020 that his daughter had been sold into a sex trafficking network around Seattle, and Sorensen, who was referred to as the girlfriend of the daughter "may have been involved in her sale," according to court documents.
In mid-November, Eisenman was able to rescue his daughter and return her to the Spokane area.
Eisenman discovered that Sorensen would be in the city of Airway Heights, which is just west of Spokane. As he arrived at the scene, Sorenson was confronted by Eisenman.
According to police, Eisenman kidnapped Sorensen by tying him up, then placed him in the truck of a car before allegedly murdering him during the confrontation.
"Eisenman then beat the victim with a cinder block and stabbed him repeatedly, resulting in his death," the Spokane Police Department added.
Police say that after the victim's death, Eisenman drove and abandoned the vehicle, with the body still inside, in a remote area of Spokane County in a northern part of the county. The automobile remained there for almost a year before being moved to its current location by someone who police said was not aware of a corpse in the vehicle.
According to the Spokesman-Review, Sorensen's body, which was zip-tied and had tape over his mouth, was only discovered after people began rummaging through the unlocked car and taking things from it.
Eisenman appeared in court on Monday and is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
