In a Medium blog, self-described UFO researcher Ryan Sprague revealed that UAPx, an organization dedicated to studying UFOs and UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena — as the government terms them), will soon offer new data on said UFOs to the public.
"UAPx is pleased to announce that, in cooperation with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS), we will be making available to the public more than 3 terabytes of data pertaining to unidentified aerial phenomena," Sprague wrote.
When lawfully permitted, UAPx will provide our evaluated and analyzed data as well as all raw data to the rest of the world once we have identified and secured storage and servers adequate to the task. It is the view of UAPx that our team's data gathering, processing, and analysis is the most important body of scientific information about UFO/UAP phenomena.
According to Sprague, UAPx adhered to rigorous scientific method in obtaining the data, allowing expert evaluation and providing for peer review for potential publication in one or more scientific journals.
Over 600 hours of infrared video from a variety of FLIR® cameras, as well as three terabytes of visual data from many camera platforms, have been collected.
According to Dr. Spaulding, analysis of this data reveals a large number of anomalies and phenomena that are still under study before being made public. He also stated that the nature and type of input gathered may suggest definitive proof of UFO/UAP presence.
For a long time, government agencies have been taking a more serious approach to UFOs/UAPs. In June 2021, members of the House Intelligence Committee were given a classified briefing by FBI and U.S. Navy officials to discuss UFOs/UAPs, which some representatives have labeled a national-security risk.
The calendar year also has a number of UFO/UAP sightings, including one near the White House. As well, in January, the federal government published its first-ever UFO/UAP report.
In light of all this, some believe that 2022 will be the year when scientists release over 3 terabytes of UFO data to the public. This would include data from government agencies, as well as scientific organizations like SETI.
It's unclear what this data will reveal, but many are hopeful that it will provide definitive proof of the existence of extraterrestrial life.
In November 2021, the Department of Defense established a new task force to track and identify UFOs/UAPs that are flying over restricted airspace. Nothing, however, has yet provided evidence of aliens' existence. Could the UAPx data be the proof we've all been waiting for?
