The site has revealed intriguing details about burial practices and tomb construction. Researchers uncovered miniature canopic jars, vessels used to hold a dead person’s organs during mummification. The tombs themselves varied in construction materials, with common folk interred in mud brick tombs, while wealthier individuals were buried in more elaborate limestone tombs.
