According to an insider, King Charles has finally banished his brother Prince Andrew from Buckingham Palace due to alleged sexual misconduct.
With the abhorrent connections of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, the 62-year-old former prince has been stripped from his royal privileges for nearly three years. Sources have divulged to The Sun that he is no longer welcome in Kensington Palace - a castle serving as regal headquarters since its opening centuries ago.
The scandal surrounding Prince Andrew has put the royal family in a precarious position. As the Queen's second son, lesser known to the public than his elder brother Charles, he was expected to provide support for Her Majesty during her advanced age and continued duty as head of state. However, with his ties to Maxwell and Epstein, it has become clear that he cannot serve this purpose. The gravity of the situation has been felt far beyond Buckingham Palace.
Even after Prince Andrew stepped away from his royal duties in 2020, Queen Elizabeth graciously permitted him to continue residing at the palace and maintain a small team of staff. But the recent revelations linking him to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell have led to her change of heart.
Despite his brother’s authority, Andrew will no longer be able to include Buckingham Palace as a return address.
According to an insider, the King has declared that any presence at the Palace is finished. He is no longer a royal in title or action; he's now forging his own path.
This move further solidifies the King's commitment to upholding the royal family’s reputation. In addition to cutting ties with Epstein and Maxwell, Charles has also taken steps such as introducing a “zero-tolerance policy” for sexual harassment in recent years.
Andrew's latest punishment comes after he attempted to deny acknowledging long-time accuser Virginia Giuffre, who has claimed she was forced into sexual intercourse with him due to pressure from Epstein and Maxwell. This is just the most recent in a series of repercussions since then.
Despite declining to accept culpability, he coughed up $12 million in February upon being taken to court by Giuffre for sexual misconduct.
The consequences of his royal misdeeds were dire. Not only was Andrew stripped of all military and royal titles, but he was also barred from wearing his military uniform to their mother's funeral. In the wake of her passing, King Charles declared that Andrew would never be welcomed back into the Royal family again. To add insult to injury, it is reported that last month His Majesty even revoked Andrew's 24-hour security detail as a final act to completely dissociate him from the Royal life altogether.
The Prince's fate serves as a stern warning to all members of the Royal family that impropriety will not be tolerated, no matter who you are or what title you possess.
On Wednesday, His Majesty King Charles named Her Royal Highness Queen Consort Camilla the new Colonel of the esteemed Grenadier Guards, a position formerly held with great honor by Prince Andrew.
Despite his banishment, Andrew will be able to join King Charles and the rest of the royals for Christmas dinner. He is also likely to keep hold of his 31-bed Royal Lodge - paid for by government funds - situated on Windsor's estate until further notice.
It appears that the Royal Family is no longer willing to turn a blind eye to Prince Andrew’s ties with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. While his banishment from Buckingham Palace may be seen as an act of mercy, it serves as a reminder of the severe consequences associated with misconduct within the Royal Family.
