A Woman Arrested For Smuggling Fentanyl Pills In Her Private Area

A woman was caught smuggling fentanyl pills in her vagina by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials in Texas, demonstrating how desperate some people are to conceal narcotics.
The woman, a 40-year-old U.S. citizen, was discovered attempting to smuggle fentanyl pills into the country earlier this month, according to CBP agents stationed at the Bridge of the Americas border crossing in El Paso. She concealed them inside a condom and then hid them inside her vaginal cavity.
According to the agents, a CBP canine alerted officers, who conducted a pat-down search at the pedestrian crossing. The woman then allegedly took out a condom full of fentanyl pills from her vaginal area.
It appeared that the actual pills were in a custom form fitted to fit inside a vagina, which was then wrapped in a condom.
You might be asking, just how much fentanyl can one woman cram up there? CBP claims they recovered 0.006 pounds of the dangerous narcotic in this case at least.
The seizure follows on the heels of fresh CDC data that shows a record 107,000 U.S. overdose deaths in 2017. Fentanyl was involved in almost one-third of those fatalities.
The bust was one of 25 arrests made at border crossing points in El Paso, which is located on the Mexico-United States border and has a large population of immigrants.
On May 9, CBP agents at the Paso Del Norte border crossing discovered 24.47 pounds of methamphetamine in a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man. The dog alert and x-ray scan revealed 24 bundles concealed throughout the car, after which officers found them.
That same day, cops found 18 pounds of methamphetamine in a 23-year-old woman's vehicle. Following that, police discovered eight bundles stashed away within the spare tire of the car.
On May 11, CBP officers discovered 19.7 pounds of cocaine. Then officers at the Santa Teresa Port of Entry in New Mexico discovered 39.24 pounds of methamphetamine on May 17th.
In this case, the pills have an estimated street value of $4,000. The woman was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations. No word yet on if she'll face charges.
