People are concerned that a horrible demon who has been imprisoned in a rock for over 1,000 years is now free, and the world doesn't already have enough problems.
This ancient boulder, which is located in a shrine in Japan, has been cracked open, and some believe that the demon who was imprisoned inside is now free. This has people concerned, as the world doesn't already have enough problems. It's not clear how the boulder became cracked, but some are blaming it on the recent earthquake in Japan.
After centuries of imprisonment, the supposed "killing stone," which had kept the malevolent spirit at bay, finally broke and shattered, plunging believers into a panic.
This event has people all over the world worried, as it seems to be another sign that the end times are coming.
According to Japanese mythology, anyone who comes into contact with the stone will die. In Japanese mythology, Tamomo-No-Mae, or the Nine-Tailed Fox, is said to survive on Sessho-seki, which is properly known as the Volcano Rock.
The demon, who is said to be incredibly powerful and evil, was imprisoned in the boulder by a group of monks a millennium ago. The monks used their own blood to seal the demon inside the rock, and they hoped that he would never be freed.
According to legend, a beautiful woman taking the form of a demon appeared as part of an assassination plot on Emperor Toba, who reigned over Japan from 1107 until 1123. The monks who witnessed the assassination attempt were so terrified by the demon that they fled, leaving the boulder behind.
The notorious ghost rock, which is situated in the rocky and mountainous northern part of Tochigi, near Tokyo, is a tourist attraction. People are frightened to visit it now because they believe the malevolent spirit has been resurrected and will wreak havoc on the planet once more.
The rock apparently began cracking a few years ago, according to reports. In 2016, tourists found themselves being pushed and shoved by an invisible force coming from the boulder.
Local residents and Buddhist monks are now concerned that the spirit has been released from its prison and will cause mayhem and destruction.
"I was so surprised when I saw it," said one local resident. "It's like something out of a horror movie. I'm just glad that I'm not the one who has to deal with it."
Some people are convinced that the spirit has been released and is angry about how humans have treated the planet. Others believe that it is a warning from nature that we need to start taking better care of our environment.
