Makeiva Albritten, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is a multifaceted actress, executive producer, and writer who has swiftly carved out her place in the film industry. In just over three years, she has made an indelible mark by writing, executive producing, and starring in her debut film, Connected Through Blood, which she accomplished within her very first year in the business. This achievement set the stage for a career that blends her passion for storytelling with her talents both in front of and behind the camera.

 

Since her rise, Makeiva has expanded her body of work to include The Millers, Get Paid, and Karma, each project showcasing her commitment to creating powerful narratives and complex, relatable characters. Her upcoming projects, including Reginald Carter and the highly anticipated series Chops, are already generating excitement, promising audiences a fresh perspective and a deepened exploration of her creative abilities.

 

With roots firmly grounded in Detroit, Makeiva’s journey began at Denny High School and continued through her studies at Wayne State University, where she cultivated the discipline, authenticity, and drive that she brings to every role.
